About Lisa’s Generation Relations Blog

Thanks for visiting!

First off, here’s some basic info about me, and this will shed some light on my blog. My name is Lisa Orrell and I am The Generation Relations Expert. I wrote the book, “Millennials Incorporated” (on Amazon), and I am a professional speaker who educates well-known companies and associations, such as Cisco Systems, Paul Mitchell, Brocade, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and the The Human Capital Institute, about effectively attracting, recruiting, managing and retaining Millennials (Generation Y). I also conduct seminars that improve generation relations within a multigenerational workforce.

And, I’m also a Leadership and Career Coach for Millennials. My new book, “Millennials Into Leadership” (a leadership “how to” book for Millennials), will be available in the fall of 2009. Along with one-on-one coaching, and developing group coaching programs for companies (for their Millennial talent), I offer seminars for Millennial employees (and college students) about how to be effective, respected, young leaders in the workforce.

The purpose of this blog is to share information that will help anyone in an HR, Diversity, Recruitment, OD, and/or Management role (in any department), better understand generational dynamics at work. This means you could be the owner of a small business with only a few employees, or you could be working for a Fortune 500 company, and find info on this blog that will benefit you.

And it’s sprinkled with info FOR Millennials, not just “about” them. This ranges from career advice, workforce issues, helpful resources, etc.

I share insights and advice that will help you better attract, recruit, manage and retain the most important asset any company has; its employees (from any generation!).

And, occasionally, I write about random stories I see in the news that either humor, anger or baffle me…and I TRY to relate them to generations. Sometimes it’s a stretch, but I give it a good shot.
